Construction Plans & House Design – Designing a new home can be a scary task to have to tackle, but we can make it fun and pleasurable. We can start from a plan that you have found that have pieces that you like or we can start completely from scratch. When you answer a list of our inquiring questions about how you live, your likes and dislikes, and what you like about houses you have seen, we strive to create a house just for you and your needs. The following pages are included in a full set of construction documents:

Site and Roof Plan – this shows where your new home is going to sit on your lot, any setbacks or easements and what your roof and drainage will look like.
Floor Plan – all measurements and details that are needed to build your new home
Elevations – all 4 sides of your home are depicted in a 2D drawing to show window and door locations and any details that we add
Foundation Plan – this is used to create your concrete pad for your new home
Schematic Framing Plan – shows how your trusses will be and which way your home will drain
Schematic Electrical Plan – shows where lights, cable & phone, outlets and ceiling fans will be in your home

New Home Construction Project Management – Building a new home involves endless decisions. The task is easier and more enjoyable with an experienced partner to help guide you through choices you may live with for many, many years. Soleil Design works with your builder, kitchen, bath, and lighting designers, and other subcontractors during the planning and execution of your home construction and design project. Here are just a few ways Soleil Design makes your building experience more rewarding and manageable: we help you think long range; advocate for you, the client, with the many parties involved; incorporate existing household items into your plan; help select hard surface materials, cabinetry, lighting, and paint colors; and make sure your decisions complement your decorating taste and the way you live.

We at Soleil Design are personally invested in the success of your project. We’ll be on hand to help you coordinate and review the work of painters, carpenters, tile installers, electricians, plumbers, furniture delivery teams, and other trades that may be working in your home.

Color Coordination – A pleasing flow of color from one room to the next creates a harmonious environment that’s comforting to live in, but sometimes challenging to achieve on your own. Working with your tastes and existing possessions, Soleil Design helps you navigate among the many options to select colors that look pleasing in a variety of types of light and remain satisfying for many years to come.

Furniture Selection and Sourcing – Whether it’s to furnish a whole home or simply pull together an existing room with a few new pieces, Soleil Design guides you through hundreds of specialty furniture companies and major brand names, as well as to craftsmen and specialty shops that create custom, one-of-a-kind items for unique situations. We, as always, strive to offer time-tested quality, yet work within your budget.

Design Consultation – Prior to embarking on a design project, it’s helpful to assess what’s involved. Soleil Design offers design consultations to discuss the scope and phasing of your project and to answer any questions you might have, thereby providing you with an informed foundation from which to begin your project.

For Out of Town Clients – For our clients that we assist that do not live in this area, we provide updates via email, faxes or telephone. Keeping in touch with one another during the progress of your new home keeps our shared vision going in the right direction.

For Builders – Soleil Design is always happy to work directly with builders to help design either the home plans or the interior selections of any spec home that you want to have assistance with. For best sales results, builders need to anticipate potential buyer’s desires. This requires choosing colors and options appropriate to the targeted market’s needs, lifestyle and budget. The information you provide us are the subcontractors that you use, the style you are going for, and the budget you want to stay within and we do the rest! We are happy to do as little or as much as you need.
